Spent most of that looking what was around here besides houses of ill-repute (those have signs letting kno...

Paul, C-O-L-T. Sez, it all. IT IS THE one to own. Rugers are well made and brick-outhouse strong. But... having a tuned, well fitted COLT is absolutely heaven. I am very lucky in that I own three. I also have in my safe (they're my son's), three Colt clones that have been tuned and turned into very ...

If he didn't make it right the first thing I'd do is ask him if he would like you to call ATF. They can bring more heat on him in less time than small claims court could ever think of. Then you can think of small claims court. Different states differ but here in Fla. if you paid an honest price for...

Perry mentions the RCBS 45-300 FN bullet, and it's a good one. However, it's a gas check design. If you prefer a plain base bullet, I'd suggest the RCBS 45-325 FN-U. It weighs 340 grains with my 20-1 alloy, and it shoots very well in my three Miroku 86 .45-70's -- two Brownings and a Winchester. Th...

Detailed variations aside, the Kentucky/Pennsylvania/Tennessee rifles are full stocked, long barrelled rifles. Usuallly not larger than .50 caliber with .40s and .36 or .32s in greater abundance. Well suited to the more plentiful small game of the areas thhey're named for. Differences in drop @ comb...

A chamber made for the .38 Spl. is shorter, giving less bullet jump and maintaining better bullet stability than in a .357 length chamber. Although the distance to the rifling is equal, the shorter jump may also provide for better ignition of the charge. With .38 special loads, it has long been held...

Send it to a single action guy, you simply need new bolt slots cut in the cylinder. Not terribly difficult, not terribly expensive. I can recommend three: Bill Oglesby in Springfield, IL, he's listed. Bill is a heck of a gunsmith and done wonderful work on my Colt SAAs. Some folks are put off by him...

Eric, I've used Unique for a very long time. Usually I use either 8.0 or 9.0 with the 250gr and then 255gr to 270gr bullet. 7.0 with a 200gr bullet should be a decent load. As far as smoke with Unique it all depends on the bullet lube. Certain lubes with Unique smoke like crazy. One of the worst of...

I have several for the newer wide hammer style, but don't have any spares for the old narrow hammer. Does anyone have 1 or 2 they want to sell? Thanks, Dave. Ain't sure, but Numrich lists one for the Marlin 375, and the detail shows it's the same as the 1895. Didn't know there were different width ...

I really like AA5744. I use a RCBS .45-325-FN-U in my Browning 1886. I've been down below 2moa. However, I think the Shiloh will have a faster twist and will like a heavier bullet better.
