Re: What should I do? MIssing Levergun.
I think that every police department is different in how they handle reports of firearms being lost or stolen. I think that what Hobie said is pretty wise. I too would let it be known to the family that you are looking for the rifle and have its info, and that you just want it back, or to know where...

Re: Replacement bullet seater plug for Hornady Dies?
They have flat nose replacements, one came with my .357 dies along with the cone type seater. A quick fix would be to simply fill the cone seater with an epoxy such as JB Weld after thoroughly degreasing it. That would give you the flat punch you desire. yeah! thanks. I have a kit of jb weld sittin...

Re: .475 Linebaugh in a lever action
If you've got the money here's a link: http://www.drcfirearms.com/ Bob in NE Indiana That is great that someone has built lever guns for those large bore pistol cartridges! Thanks for the info with the website. But with the .357 and .44 being so available with revolver rifle combos, i can't figure ...

.475 Linebaugh in a lever action
Anyone here know of a company that makes a lever action rifle chambered in .475 Linebaugh? I am looking for a revolver in that caliber now, and would love to be able to find a rifle in that caliber too, to have a matched pair. Or would anyone know of a lever gun company that could work a custom cham...

Re: What is everyones opinion on the Magnum Research BFR
I bought a .475 BFR a little over a year ago. All I can say is it's really nice. It's put together better than my Blackhawk Hunters. It's not quite Freedom Arms level, but really, what is. The bark isn't that bad. Haven't shot any full-house loads, only the Hornady factory ones, but to be honest, i...

Re: What is everyones opinion on the Magnum Research BFR
The 454 is upper limit that i can hit anything with. If i lived in Alaska or Africa , i'd get a 44 magnum, load it with 300 grain hardcast and hope for the best, cause i shoot it better than a 454. Since i don't live in either place, the .357 magnum with Buffalo Bore 180 grain hardcast is all i'll ...

Re: What is everyones opinion on the Magnum Research BFR
To my understanding, both the .454 and .475 use the "short" cylinder in the BFR, but only opposed to the "long" cylinder; which is housing rounds like the .45-70. Does anyone know anymore about the Magnum research's performance center revolvers? first hand? I read all the stats t...

Replacement bullet seater plug for Hornady Dies?
I have dies for my .45-70 from hornady. With their bullet seating die, they use their sleeve system that slides and "aligns" the bullet when you run it up into the die before it is seated with the seater plug. Hornady's bullet seater plug/stem is machined and made for their leverevolution ...
