A real sourdough patridge front sight, with the top rear corner cut at a 45-degree angle and having a brass/gold face at that spot (only), with the remainder of the blade blued.

IIRC, the M94 Classic had the "engraving" scrolls, but didn't have a case-colored receiver, with a choice of either a 20" or a 24" highly polished, blued octagon barrel. The M94 Antique, as pictured above, only came in one flavor - case-colored receiver, 20" round barrel Car...

R U sure ? What was on the rifle ?

MOSSBERG made a Marlin-lookalike levergun in .30-30 & .35 that was (IIRC) the Model 472.

The Mossberg trigger travels with the lever, ala Winchester 88 or BLR.

I think any handgunner would appreciate this link.

Take a peek at this new Ruger .357 Blackhawk 50th Anniversary gun, that a gripmaker named Cary (from CA) made the grips for (he makes grips from all sorts of wood):

His can only shoot groups (shot by me) about 3X larger than my Ruger #1, sad to say - even though it cost $300 more, without his high-power variable Burris scope with the fancy trajectory reticle.
