The NC handgun permit is simply a note saying the local sheriff gives you permission to buy a gun. There is nowhere on the permit to write any information. They are $5. I've never been asked for one outside of a gunshop.

.358 Win is the same as a necked up .308 Win, although if you neck up .308 it's a little short.

The .356 Win is the rimmed version of the .358. As the .307 Win is the rimmed version of the .308 Win.
