XD sub-compact 9mm with night sights. Goes bang and I can shoot it well.
Having said that the next pistol is a Glock 17, for defense and as a trainer for the wife and kids.

That is now 4 30-30's that shoot well useing my standard lyman 173gr WW bullet with 15gr of 2400 and LP primers. I've used 15 gr of 2400 and a cast gas-check '170 grain' bullet, only with rifle primers. Why pistol primers...? When using pistol powder in a rifle case I like to use LP because they gi...

Went shooting today with my wife and daughter. I introduced my daughter to the Mossberg 590 and XD subcompact 9mm. I gave her instruction in both and she is surgical with the 12ga but still needs plenty of work with the xd. I'm proud of the way she worked the Mossberg, she kept a good stance and kee...

I've an XS sight with the white lined front post on my 30-30.
Great out to 100yrds and perfect for the quick 20-35 yd shots I take for deer and small game.
I will be adding another set to my NEF 500 S&W.

Here is my Ruger LCR with the boot strap grip and XS sight. The pocket holster keeps the revolver upright and hides the imprint. With some practice you can reload quickly with the strip. The LCR shoots nice and absorbs recoil well. I've more than 550rds threw it since March and its shows little wear...
