Re: !873 Uberti Cattleman

I shoot a BP-sub in my Colt 44WCF. I prefer APP over the true BP because I can use my smokless lubed bullets. I have two loadings, I use. One is a CAS/SASS competition load. It uses a case filler and is a mild load for my Colt SAA. My other load is for my 1873 44WCF Uberti Carbine. This load has pow...

You can buy a pre-64 94 for that price. I agree $400.00, maybe $500.00 tops.

A Pard of mine just bought a 1954, very nice 94 SRC 30WCF for $550.00.

Winchester continued to make, and to sell, the 1873 alongside the 1892 up unto the 30s. Why? Because for many folks, the 1873 was "The Winchester." In any case, the Winchester 1873, and it's bigger sibling the 1876, are simply the most elegant expression of the victorian gunmaker's art. I...

Real Cowboys did carry the 87 with the mag full. The Winchester 87 was the favorite of the famous Arizona territory, Cochise County Sheriff John Slaughter.
The 87 had a mite more horsepower than the Double barrels of the time period. Then John Browning designed the Model 93 Pump and the race was on.

Some Cowboy shooters use original 87's in CAS/SASS competition. There is a firm that makes a factory shell that is metric size to approx. 2 1/2". I believe it is BP. This is also a low pressure shell.
