My wife and I moved to Colorado earlier this year, and we were fortunate in finding a house that had garage space for 5 cars, 3 attached and a detached two-car. I'm in the process of setting up the detached garage as a work shop. Progress is slower than I would like, but I'm getting there. Here are ...

Re: Elk Chronicles TV feature Levergun hunt

I had taped this program, and I had a chance to watch it today. The rifle Van Zwoll used to take the mule deer was a model 94 Big Bore, so the cartridge was the .307 Win., .356 Win. or .375 Win. Because the gun wore a scope, it was likely the angle eject version.

Re: What's your thoughts on the Browning BL-22

My experience with the Browning BL-22 is limited to handling and shooting one at a silhouette match on one occasion. I was impressed with the gun. However, the one that I shot had a top tang made of some kind of polycarbonate material, and I was concerned about mounting a tang sight on the gun. So, ...

Duff L Bag, I have very limited experience with the Saeco 300 grain tapered bullet (#571.) As I recall, Win. 92 rifles were discontinued in 1931 and carbines in 1941 with total production of just over 1 million. If the gun you saw has caliber stampings that look 'newer,' it may have been rebarreled.
