If a person runs 3f powder in the 45-70 it will kick it up into 45-90 territory so in practicle terms not much point. I thought you fella's might get a kick out of this ole' farm wagon. I paid $1600 for it and it's all original and unmolested. The running gear is Moline....good stuff. Jarhead, Welcome back! I have two 43's one in .22 Hornet and the other in "K" Hornet. I have not shot any 35 gr bullets in them but they both like 40-46 gr. bullets very well. For years my favorite powder in the std. Hornet was W680 in 11.5 gr. doses for the 46 gr and 12.5 with the 40 gr....

I saw a Model 71 Pre-War "Short Rifle" that was refinished and advertised as such...that sold for 4K on Gunbroker...The bolt peep was even "Mickey Moused".... Supply and demand I reckon.... I'm happy that I've got what I need to last me the rest of my life...including .348 Ammo.....

Classy! What do you use the .25-20 on, anyway? I don't know much about it. Too much for squirrel or rabbit? Good little 'Varmit' Rifle. Great for shooting 'Coyote'....'Prairie Dogs'....a little light for Deer. Great for Squirrel and Rabbits... Just a fun little cartridge to shoot all the way around.
