.475 Cooper. Designed and tested my me, built by L. Cooper (no longer in business). Was designed to fit six rounds in, and not blow up a rechambered Ruger cylinder. J. Taffin did an article on it several years ago in American Handgunner Mag. I have 2 revolvers, though one is not fully completed both...

Re: Unique, Unique
I am surprised nobody mentioned Unique's great ability in the .45 ACP if you want some hard hitting loads. I saw an article recently by John Taffin about using it to push 250 - 255 grain cast to over 950 fps in a Springfield XD-45. I have used Unique since the early 1970's to push the same Lyman 250...

Yes; those plastic bullets can be re-used. However, they are more powerful that most people believe. A hit at the wrong place can be fatal to many creatures; possibly even a human.
That said, they are great fun when used properly. Thay can also be wonderfully accurate.

Thanks for sharing. Loved the pics.
I received one of those short little stainless SBH's in the early 90's and it has become my favorite .44 revolver. May Santa (or his helper) be kind to you this Christmas!

Re: Christmas Eve - Korea - 1966
Jim;
Thanks - again.
Your story is wonderful - and it reminds me of my own 1966 Christmas; my fourth Christmas away from family while in the Navy. My Christmas that year was much different; yet, for me it remains one of the most memorable.
Grace and Peace

Anyway, I want to be there. Gotta talk with Momma. She has been a bit on the down side for a while now. Who knows, she just might push me out the door to get rid of me for a while!
Will get back to y'all.

Congrats, my friend!
As you well know, the birth of a child is a gift from God. The birth of twins must be at least 8 or 16 times greater blessings.
Prayers with all y'all.

Re: 44 mag Super Blackhawk 150 yd ???
OK, here is the answer - the rear sight blade is taller than other Blackhawks or some Superblackhawks. I just need to get a lower one from Ruger. :D Or, hold the top of the front sight half way up the notch. Actually, I have owned several Blackhawk variants that had a too tall or too short REAR sig...

Re: 32-20 vs 30 carbine
A Korean War vet friend got his several medals from defending a site with his .30 carbine. Harry always said of it, "If you put the bullets where they belong, it does its job." He is right. Also, in equal strength firearms, there is no difference in the .30 Car and .32-20 in performance. I...

Voted for the .357 because of the capabilities of that round in a good carbine. It is a fine shooter and fun for plinking. It is excellent for home defense and for hunting. It gives great performance with little recoil so it can be used by almost any shooter. While I never would expect the .30 Carbi...

Top choice, IMHO, is a .44 Mag for caliber and one of the Winchester 1892's that are being re-created now days for model. Again, IMHO, it is the most versatile of all calibers. It can be used for varmints to elk with many stops in between. If you want a challenge for varmints try PD's at 2-300 yards...
