Re: .45 Colt in a Rossi 92 - feeding heavy bullets
The last several Rossi 92 rifles I have owned would feed any round I wanted. The only way to know for sure, is to try the load/loads you want to shoot in the rifle you want to buy. Dummy round of course! 1886.

Re: Ken Waters has passed.
I first wrote him a letter when I was 13 and looking for a deer/bear rifle as I had finally saved up enough from my trapline to buy my own big game rifle. I outlined the conditions where I lived and mentioned I wanted to shoot cast. He not only recommended a Marlin 1895 but also put me (and my dad)...

Re: Fireforming 38-55 from 30-30 brass?
If you are loading for a Marlin Cowboy .38-55, in order to use the correct projectile diameter of .381", if memory serves me correctly, you will need to use the Starline brass, of the correct length, of 2.125". If you attempt to use fire formed W/W .30-30 brass you will not be able to cham...

IMO, the LFM is the most aesthetically pleasing of the commemorative models, except for that tacky stock medallion. I purchased a stainless trapper length Rossi .454 earlier this year. It is meant to be a companion to my 4.2" Redhawk .454 conversion. Mine seems to be a solid rifle. I do not have much trigger time with it. The overall fit and finish is quite good. The action is smooth and it feeds anything fr...

I think Mainehunter has the right idea unless you want to rebarrel. I had JES rebore my Ruger GSR from .308 to .358. It shoots wonderfully! I have an 80s vintage 336 Texan .30-30 that is going to JES to become a .38-55. If you do rebore thru JES, I would be curious if the chamber handles the proper,...
