for some patients they work extremely well. most patients get significant benefit. severe complications are fortunately rare. most importantly needs to be done by someone with a lot of experience.
I know lots of patients who have them and benefit from them

32 special really is special. Paco wrote a great article on it, and in his books. the larger bore size gives it an improved expansion ratio and it really can perform ! I am working up some of his loads right now …. I have had several 32s but only have one now . it is a marlin model 36, made in 1947,...

actually is just very 'brown all over ' but all metal and wood are intact and action is smooth, bore is dark but excellent rifling. haven't tried to clean the bore yet;

I have only had one and still have it. it is a 44/40 and pretty rough shape. will dig it out and take a picture, but I am sure Shrapnel would have a better one. I keep trying to get a nicer one but it is very hard to find one, especially an affordable one.
