You guys are alright. Sorry I haven't been around for a while. We had a homicide involving a 28 yo female that was 7.5 months pregnant. I still use Unique because it's so versatile. I will say CCI Blazer has some of the cleanest burning powder I've ever shot. It almost leaves no soot or residue at all. I shot 200 rounds and could barely tell I'd shot any. Would like to know what powder they use.

I've longed for a CZ Ringneck SXS in 12 ga. They're very reasonably priced. My apprehension was due to not holding one in hand, nor having any feedback from trusted sources. Joe, 86er, had one for sale in the classifieds, but it was in 20 ga. He spoke highly of it and that's all I need. So, when I g...

I have to agree that longer barrels hang better. Plus, the longer sight radius. I guess I'm just not old enough to feel the weight difference as some guys do. I packed a Shiloh Sharps #1 that weighs like 12 lbs. for two elk hunting seasons and the only thing I wish I had different was a sling.

Re: Kodiak Mk IV Double Rifle
The only issue with this rifle in 8mm Mauser is that it is regulated for the somewhat low potency 170 grain load. However, that load is pretty good on deer/hog sized game out to 100 yrds where you'd be using a hammer double. If you don't have any pipe dreams about what you're going to feed it, they...

Hey, Perry. You can get some new screws for that old piece and then if you don't have the right screwdrivers, get'em. You can treat the screws so they match the piece, but they won't be all buggered up. That'd drive me nuts.

I understand a reason for a light over the dial, but that's only because of my aging eyesight. My HD pieces are readily accessible without going to the safe. If I need to get into my safe it's because I need a cavalry response.

I agree with Sixgun about replacing the hammer spring with an aftermarket unit. You can find them anywhere from too light, to too heavy. I personally have altered main springs all the way to using aftermarket ones. I like them lighter than stock. Stock seems to be way to heavy for me. Just make sure...
