I'd start looking for a Green Mountain replacement bbl. Off the top of my head I don't recall the twist rate but I know they make direct replacements for the Thompson's.

I guess I'm just lucky. I make knives, when I have my shop up and running. I've never had a problem sharpening knives. It's more a feel thing to me. Getting the angles right and feeling it as it slides across what ever medium your using.

There was one for sale on both Gunsamerica and Gunbroker. It was on there for quite some time. The first post I saw I think they wanted like $1,300. The next one it jumped to like $1,600. I don't recall what happened to it after that.

I'm with Hobie on this one. I use surplus GI ammo cans for my ammo storage. All of it, primers, powder, loaded ammo. I think short of a full blown flood and everything being submerged in water forever, it will last forever. I haven't been able to think of a better way of stoying ammo.

That's great. I'll bet you can't wait. I was lucky enough that the two I bought, only have one now,Venturino had in stock. As far as I know he doesn't do it anymore, but at the time he did. My waiting time was like a week on both. :twisted:

On my Sharps I've glued a piece of leather onto the top of the ladder and it works for it but my '86 has a shorter sight and the eyepiece has already put a couple of dings in the stock. Other than the straight 38 spl. being older, possibly for historical reasons, I couldn't answer that. Personally I agree I'd buy the 357 so I could have the option of the 38/357 versatility.
