You should be able to pick up a "shooter" grade 1st gen .32 W.C.F. for $1500., give or take. Most internet fools are asking far more than the reality price these days, but if you look one can be located.

Re: Pedersoli 86/71 in .45-70 and Boarbuster in .444?

I might buy one of these and make a .40-82 on steroids. Sad about the lack of decent .406 bullets, except for Hawk, of course. I'd like a 1/22 twist on a 22" barrel. I was gonna sacrifice a clunker .33 that I stripped down and send the barrel out to be bored to .406 but might wait for the Peder...

Pretty graphic morgue shots. The perp/assailant was deceased probably due to the aorta being penetrated. I have never been a fan of the .40, either. I carry a 1911 with 12 rds of my own loads, usually 185 HPs or hardball in front of 5.6 grs W-231.

I like that Bullseye sight,; it's gotta be a GREAT improvement over the pi** poor sights that come on these guns. Mine still wears the carbine sight but I'm gonna drill it and install an old Lyman 21N on it. It isn't "original" anyhow, it has been reamed to .45-90.

I'm with you, Sixgun. No way is that gun worth what it "sold" for. These days sellers are asking 12K for '94s for cryin' out loud. IMM, no 1894 should bring that much, but internet sites are overrun with "star pilots" reaching for the troposphere with their goods. :|
