Re: .357 mag levergun as a "bad times" gun
Over several years I made fortunate and cheap purchases of Marlin .357, 44 and 30-30 rifles. The .357 came with 400 rounds of reload 38 Spl and I now have 100 rounds of 44 Mag ammo. I sold the 30-30 to get the 44 Mag ammo plus dies and a couple of pounds of powder. I have a rifle my wife and I can s...

92 in 327 Magnum?
Has anyone here ever explored the possibility of a Model 92 in 327 Magnum? Living here in Indiana I think a Model 92 I could shoot with the 327 Magnum or with the tamer 32 Magnum would be versatile enough to handle 99% of the shooting I do. I have wished NEF would come out with their nice single sho...

I'm trying to find a way for my SIL to have a "shooter". He has a 6.5 Carcano he'd like to shoot but can't afford the slightly oversize bullets. I found some cases for him from Graf and gave them to him. Now I've found 500 lead bullets, 140grain, .264 dia. His rifle slugs .268-.269 and the...

I'd like to have a single shot 327, 32H&R, etc. just because the european ROOK rifle concept always appealed to me. If NEF doesn't offer one I'll probably never have one but it still appeals to me.

Re: OT: One rifle & One pistol for all around use.
With those parameters here in NE Indiana I'd go with 357 Magnum revolver and 22LR in a long gun. An extra long gun would be a lever 357 if allowed.
Actually with my wife being a shooter too it opens it up to a collective 2 rifles and 2 handguns.
