3- Creasent butt
4- Pistol grip stock
5- Full or button magizine
6- Tang sight
7- Checkered wood is a plus

Only a 218 Bee? You need a 219 Ackley Improved loaded with a Sierra 50gr. Blitz King going about 3750 FPS. Very explosive on what ever critter you hit. You should see the mess it makes out of groundhogs! :shock:

Not sure of the exact date,but Winchester took the 18 off the 1894,1890 around the same time. I believe that they figured it was not as old fashined sounding.

I have a T.C.Renigade in 50 Cal. I shoot Pyrodex regularly in mine with a patched .490 round ball and I have never had a problem with it going off. I believe Hobie is on the right track. I would pull the breach plug first.

I have both a 444 and a 35 Rem. I like the 35 better for deer.It seems to pole ax them real quick. But,that being said.I would buy them both as nice pre cross bolt safety Marlins are hard to come buy. Mine are both pre safety.

What a great looking Ballard. I have a 61/2 Rigby actioned Ballard off hand target rifle in .22LR. It is by far my most accurate .22 that I have ever owned. It loves Federal Gold Medal .22LR Match ammo.
