Got a Nikon, EER 2-8x with Ballistic drop compensator for .308 coming for it. It will go in warren QR med rings. Should compliment the rifle and caliber just about right. Thanks guys. Colt peacemakers and my 1851 are always that way so are smith j frames, though I can't remember a jframe I didn't have to tweak the front sight to get it that way

My Great Dane was a groundhog running down fool. He would grab and shake them, drop the dead whistle pig and catch another before they disappeared down their hole . That dog was an awesome sight hound.

Only Randall I have left is a full size model 10 I use when fishing. Try taking it off the sandbags. A lot of springers shoot best when they are shot using an artillery hold. Springers take a consistent hold and must be allowed to recoil to eek out the accuracy. Your rifle should do much better. My .20 cal springer is by far the most accurate rifle I have, and the s...

180 grains is a lot of BP! Well done. I use 110 grains in my 16 gauge flintlock and my .54 cal rifle. I'm sure that did a number on that fox. Well done
