I would have to agree with ED. Great round but nobody understood at the time. I use 307 to make 356 cases just the head stamp is wrong, the deer target can't tell at that range.

I had the same problem with my 356. I added a little blob of bronze welding rod to the shell stop and reshaped the stop. Works great now. I have herd od peening the stop to reshape but my little blob of bronzed seems to work ok. Just my .02 canadian.

I have an Abolt in 270 left hand. Like is's short bolt turn, shoots great and not too heavy. Don't know if controlled feed is all that important. I also like the detachable mag. remove to reload or from the open action.

I use Hornady Great plains lead bullets. I have tried sabots but my rifle doesn't like them. You can't go wrong with a 50 cal 385 gr soft lead bullet.

Mod 94BB356 with 200 gr Hornady. Still trying a few different powders. Mod 94 circa 1942 170 gr sierra over 3031. A traditions inline with 385 gr Hornady Great Plains over 100 gr Pyrodox. Maybe an old Mossberg 12 ga bolt with slugs if nasty weather and I poking around wet dirty swamps.

leverhunter. S.I.R. in Winterpeg carries williams peeps. There is a supplier of Williams in Edmonton, (Western Gun supplies I think but not sure of the name) The Skinner sight I ordered directly from Skinner, google is your friend. Williams used to ship to Canada but no longer.

Jmiller. I agree with you, but I was trying to explain why his smith couldn't get it to jam but he could do it on the first try. I had that issue, as I said and by playing around a bit everything is OK now. No argument about parts swappers from me. Have a good one.

It probably has something to do with how fast you cycle the action. My 356bb would only jam if Iycled it slowly. My circa 49 mod 94 has no problems no matter what the speed I cycle it. Not a hard fix with a little patience.

Just an idea. Contact Westinghouse with the model number etc (if you can find it,) they may have a part, or be willing to make one and use the story to show how well the product is made. You might want to try their marketing department. You never know unless you try. Good luck.
