Got a chance to see "Knowing", which starred Nicolas Cage. Those of faith, will find much to discuss afterwards. A brief review of Ezekial prior to watching, may be usefull.

I too have one.....and had to tap the sight over a bit in order to bring the windage on target. On mine, I noticed that the rear sight has an extra wide base to allow for a generous amount of drift; should it be necesary.

Otherwise then...does it group well???

That looks like a 4 inch group at 50 meters, with a stray I'd disregard.

I have the Browning version...and I like heavy bullets in my 30-06. Mine shoots 200 grain Sierra's very well. They are seated out just shy of the rifling, and are propelled by 42 grains of IMR 4064.

I too have a 99 in .250-3000 Savage. They are an outstanding example of American craftsmanship and ingenuity. My sling swivel mount is in the forearm...which is the thicker model. I have no experience with the barrel mounted swivel, so I can't help you there. I have though seen on some auctioned 99'...
