Re: Henry brand 1892
The change in manufacturing process, engineering design, tooling, etc. makes it too cost prohibitive. The tube magazine, from a production cost aspect, keeps Henry in the affordable quality, "value", segment.

I remember shooting back in the late 1960's-early 1970's, with a Grizzly. It was 30# IIRC. Loved it and would buy one now, but I don't think Bear makes them any smaller than 45#. 30# is easy on the body.

The 24" octagon 22s will be very popular with the leveraction silhouette folks. Henry recently announced a 327 rem mag in a steel Big Boy round. I just ordered two. But, I wish they would do a 24" oct. I think that would be the ticket for the pistol cal lever silhouette. .327 would be gre...

Did you try looking at the caliber stamp on top of the barrel just in front of the receiver. An 1894 receiver is an 1894 receiver. They were designed for rifle calibers not pistol calibers. At least they're trying to expand their product line. I don't know how well balanced a can would be on a 24" verses 20" barrel, but the short mag probably compensates for it.
