For me it is much faster than a standard scope. I had a little 4x on my AR and switched to an EOTECH holosight on a scout mount. My times at the IDPA carbine matches were 1/3 less with the holosight. I have a Weaver 4x on my 94 30-30. to me it's kinda awkward. Going to put an XS scout mount and anot...

My Grandfather hunted almost exclusively with a pair of Model 70 Winchesters. One was 257R and the other 250-3000. He also had an Arisaka made into a 257Robrts sporter. Fortunately we still have the Arisaka and the 250-3000. The 257 Model 70 was stolen from my Uncle's home years ago. Grandpa was dea...

I have a Leopold Scout on my 1895M / 450, Springfield SOCOM16 and a Ruger 10/22 (Buris) and couldn't be happier with them. To me they seem to be very quick on target and my not-so-good vision it better than open sights for things like counting points on antlers. The part of PA where I do most of my ...

Nice rifle Mike! Here's mine w/ my 94S, 45Colt. My bug out guns. the 14 actually carries quite well. and I don't think a hundred rounds of 308 weigh any more than 100 shogun shells. I've hunted w/ my other M 14 quite a few times. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q128/2ndovc/100_1797.jpg I do like ...

That's probably the best idea. I'm sure someone would install it for a few bucks.
I like the idea of the steel bar stock instead of screw drivers. Makes more sense. Better fit.

I've posted a photo of my Marlin 94P w/ it's favorite companion several times and have had a few people ask more about it and I promised to try to get some better pictures of it. Started out as a four didgit s# Old Model w a 7 1/2" barrel , 44 Mag, and almost no finish. Super good shooter but t...

If the sellers won't re-negotiate for the cost of the repairs then you have an out. Don't feel guilty about it, that's how this business works. If you're agent is worried about losing a sale and not putting your needs and worries first then you need a new one. In my area it is real buyers market and...

This doesn't really answer your question but My Marlin 94P and OM Super Blackhawk both like 240 SWCs over 10.5 grains of Unique. Not a big bang but gets the job done. Both gus have other loads they shoot well but this combo seems to be the most accurate. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q128/2ndov...

I love my 450 Marlin but my 95 LTDIII 45-70 gets more use than any of my other levers with the exception of my 32-20s. The 45-70 is just plain easy to load for and brass is waayyyy cheaper than the 450 (mainly bullet selection. the longer, heavier bullets don't work well). I only have one load for t...

Interestng bullet from Remington
Was loading some 45-70s last night and set this bullet in the case and thought it looked kinda funny. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q128/2ndovc/100_2595.jpg First thought was the folks at Midway dropped a .458 solid in my box of 405 SPs.
