I have the short barrel blued version w/ the white plastic grips. Looks just like the cap guns I used to buy at the amusement park when I was a kid. Probably why I bought it. :) I've fired just about every type of 38spl. through it I could find. Works w/ everthing but has a preference for 148 Gr. Wa...

I have one of those little cheapie Cobra .38s . Not a target pistol but it actually works pretty well. Carry it in my front pocket when I'm out walking the dogs around town. Even w/ shorts on it's next to impossible to see. I've been looking at the Bond Arms guns for a while. Seem to be nicely made ...

That thing sure looks like dangerous game  Did that once to one of those big Kitchenaid mixers. Bought it for the Ex-Mrs at an auction where I'd also bought a Win 97. Well 97 worked just fine at 80 years old but the mixer was junk. First time she tried to use it , it started smoking and alm...

Range day- Rossi 308 & Model 95 Musket
Finally made it to the range today. Had the whole place to myself now that deer season is over and all the guys that wait to the last minute to sight in their guns are gone until next year. Took the new Rossi 308 and My 95 7.62x 54 Russian Musket. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q128/2ndovc/100_2...

$200 is a steal! Get it fixed and shoot the snot out of it! I have one in 480 Ruger. as well as 357 and 44mag. I don't load any of them light and have not had a problem. Most likely it was a bad part from te factory that let go. Nate worked over my 357 that wouldn't feed 357s and it has become one o...

OT- Late Chrtismas presents.
Got a bunch of Gander Mountain Gift cards for Christmas. Needed a new spotting scope and they had their 20-60X on sale. I had enough left over for a Rossi 308 Win. Single shot. Thought it would great pack rifle for the back of my dirt bike while out trail riding. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My Grandfather on my Mom's side was a real levergunner. I inherited several Winchesters from him, a 95, 94s, 92s and a 73. My Grandpa on my Dad's side was a dedicated bolt gun guy. Got some good stuff from him too. My Dad still has the rest including a beauty Model...

I think it was $48.00 new. After thinking about it, it was a B-day present from my Father. I have the set of 3 books from Mr. Clawson. One of my pistols is on the back cover of the second book. RSY I've never owned a log home but as a Ins. restoration contractor I've worked on a few. Lots of exterior maintenance on some of the older ones. Bugs and weather can really tear up a log home if it's not maintained. The last house I built new instead of another rehab, a neighbor that bought part o...

I'm on #9. Just turned 40 in November and have been trading up since 23. One of the few things I'm good at. Quite a story. Never underestimate the power of a good dog and a .22! The second picture looks just like one I saw in PA. Though I've been told by a few people that it was probably a large coyote. If it was it was as big as a German sheppard. Went trotting past my cabin like he owned the place. Trie...

Dug a .357 JHP out of the roof on my first house. Probably been there for a few years ( before we owned the house) the bottom of the slug was sticking out of a shingle at a pretty low angle. If the Butt head that fired it had aimed a half inch lower it would have gone right through the kitchen window!

Marlin 94 Cowboy ?
I was talking to one of the other forum members yesterday when I mentioned that I was planning on buying a 94 Cowboy in 45 Colt for silhouette shooting. I was supprised when he told me that a 45 Colt Cowboy he had was the only Marlin hed ever had that wouldn't shoot. Terrible accuracy. I shot John K...
