Oh, if I had a nickle for every deer I've shot right after it snowed, I'd be rich!
They stick out like sore thumbs among all that white stuff!
No excuse, southerner.

Re: OT: .38 S&W Special Mightier than .357 Mag or .44 Mag
Being a .357mag fan, since my first Ruger BH, and the amazing versatility of this round, I have to disagree, but only on THAT point. While a .38spl will kill most things inside of 25yds, with a well placed shot, a .357mag has more room to play, even for a novice handloader with a 6.5" revolver....

Rossi in .357mag/38spl
I wandered by a gun store nearby today, and was pleased to actually see a .357mag/38spl Rossi behind the counter, so I had a look at it. It's nice, but it has a 16" barrel, and I was kind of hoping for something like an 1894. At $449.00, I let it stay there. It was nice to see one, since I've b...

You know what I plan on carrying as well as a good BoB? A sturdy Mosin Nagant with bayonet. No joke. These were made to be bugged out with, and include all you need to get by in terms of cleaning and care for a while. Hey all, I am back to to report: I graduated and got my board certifications, and am now a paramedic! The divorce is pldding along, God willing. Well, two years ago, at my EMS graduation ceremony we had the oportunity to hear the head of the state EMS agency speak, and along with giving us praise for the work we were about to do, he also handed us a stern warning that "it isn't a question of IF, it's when" the flu pandemic will str...

Why no leverguns...? For most of us the answer may be in the nearest mirror. If it is just a hobby to you, f...
