I think you're close to correct. Isn't it still OK and legal to do a face to face sale of a SAA that's antique? (1898 or older) Yes - antique or not, private party sales of a handgun that did not pass the "drop test" are still legal, providing that the handgun was in legal possession of t...

In California, one can no longer buy a single-action .45 Colt of any kind. Ruger, for instance, sells a fine .45 Colt SA in their Super Blackhawk line, but apparently they did not want to hassle with the testing requirements for sales in California; so that particular model is not "approved&quo...

How do we even know that he was dealt the last card? Consider, if you will, that the game was interrupted. OK,
#4 birdshot = .130 inch;
and .130 X 2200 = 286 (yards) maximum.
But how can we arrive at the true distance, not necessarily the absolute max, using the muzzle (initial) velocity as a factor?

300 yds max sounds about right for your load. A .410 bore with a 2 3/4" shell generally launches its payload at about 1200 fps; and the diminutive, round #4 birdshot is only 3.30mm (.130") in diameter; so it won't retain its speed for very long; and it certainly has a poor ballistic coeffi...
