Great find. For actual field use, as opposed to a safe queen, you might want to add a barrel band swivel so you can use a sling. Since I reworked the sights, sling and buttplate on mine almost 9 years ago, it became my #1 game rifle. Don't think of it as a brush gun either. Mine will group under 2.5...

Hagler, if you do a little more checking, I think you will find that Interarms was importing the Rossi '92 back in the mid to late 1960's. They were one of the first advertisers in Handloader magazine which began in 1966.

In .32-20's, unless you are plinking with very loose accuracy standards, rifle and pistol loads do not interchange well. I have found rifles and pistols to prefer very different powders, usually 4756 in pistols and Unique, Blue Dot and 4759 (watch the numbers) in later rifles. Keeping loads segregat...

T, I think you'll find that beneath that very thin plating you likely have only soft swaged lead. It is only lately that any platers are using any degree of alloying. It is my belief that you will have to slow your loads down to under 1000fps to get acceptable accuracy. Its worth a try. BOL

Weavers are lighter, cheaper and plenty strong. The idea of moving one scope back and forth between two rifles is unworkable, no matter what mounts you have, because you would have to rezero each rifle each time the scope was moved, a waste of time and effort. Better to spend that time and ammo on p...

After surviving my callow youth, I found that a handgun is only useful if you have it with you. Having a handgun in the night stand, the safe or the truck does no good whatsoever if that is not where you are standing. In order to have a handgun with you, it needs to fit some form of holster. That ho...

Caliber alone puts a .257 in the upper reaches while the stock scratches bring it down some. Probably looking at $650-800.

I'm with Jay. In case you hadn't noticed they're not terribly common. It's a Roberts. That's a keeper. Mine is!
