A friend of mine uses a ruger international @ 18". He has used it for years even on large red deer and never complains. I doubt it is legal in dumb Britain but he don't care and nor do I!

I did ask this yesterday but maybe it got overlooked.
Have any of you 45/70 or similar fans that use the plodding ( :wink: ) BP loads used a pure lead bullet with appropriate lubing. I'm wondering if pure lead would work ok at say 1100fps?????
