Your right, but ya have to watch maintenance. I lost at least 75lbs following the same program 15yrs ago in six months time. Kept it off for several years. Then fell back into the same old habits and now having to do it again. Finding it much harder to do at age 63 than back then!!

Colt SAA what's it really worth?
I see prices on these all over the place. I have a 3rd gen Colt SAA .45 colt, blue color case, 5 1/2", black powder frame. Its had one box of Winchester Cowboy loads through it. It was then cleaned and put in its original box. I really have no use for it and thought of selling it. But in trying...

My Shield in .40cal has becomes my most carried ccw. I have found it accurate and controllable. I love my lightweight Commander in 45, but the Shield is 10 ounces lighter loaded than the Colt.

To weigh in on my own thread, while I have used federal, CCI, and Winchester, I use far more Winchester so I guess that makes them my favorite. Never used imported stuff so am curious of your experiences with them. Shortages could come back around. I still can't find Bullseye powder.

I really like the that combination of a commander slide with officer frame. Always made sense to me. When Colt came out with their Wiley Clapp CCO, I bought one and love. Nearly ideal as a edc for me. But I've got a bit more in mine than you do.

I too have both, a LCP and a Smith 442. In truth I trust the .38 cartridge over the .380 but the LCP is almost always in the pocket of my pants when just sitting around the house. Neither of these is my normal carry however, for that I use a S&W Shield in .40 most of the time or a Colt CCO in .4...

Sucks to get old, don't it
Yesterday I attended a local match of the Illinois Police Association, this was just a form of the old PPC course I used to shoot back in the day. Reminded once again on just how bad my eyes have got. I used to average a score in the upper 580's out of 600 on this course of fire. Now if wearing my n...

I've had several over the years, for the range I prefer the full size, for ccw the LW Commander. Many don't consider the turkey to be small game. While that head would be superb on game such as rabbit and squirrel, I personally wouldn't use it on turkey. After 44yrs of bowhunting experience, for me anything groundhog size and up gets a sharp broadhead.

To answer the original question, yes I believe bowhunting to be very humane and effective. This is based on better than 40yrs of experience in the sport. Do you have to do your part, yes. But a razor sharp broadhead placed in vital organs is extremly effective. Do they drop on the spot, no not usual...
