It was a very bad pick for Obama, which is good for us. I'm hoping McCain picks a pro-gun, pro-life conservative from a battleground state.

Re: OT - Single Actions !
Guys, those are some really nice single actions! The 44 flattop looks great, 6pt-sitka! And wow, salvo, that .357 flattop looks minty, at least from here! Some very impressive Ruger old models! C.Cash, I can't figure out what the Ruger on the right is... 41 Magnum? It looks like it's wearing an XR3 ...

It was a couple years ago, Saturday night, downtown. My wife (8 months pregnant at the time) and I had just finished a nice dinner out and were walking back to our car. From across the street a man started yelling at us, saying all sorts of threatening things, and actually took a few steps toward us...

It's a neat little story, and I was going to forward it to some friends, and then I did a quick internet search.

It's fiction. Still, made me smile.

Thank you for the reply. The one I saw is a LTDIII. I'm very tempted, but there are some disadvantages....Such as, already bought a Super Blackhawk and a flatgate Single Six this month. Plus, I'd have to get rid of a long gun in the safe to make room..... And the asking price is a bit above what you...

Marlin 1895LTD - questions?
Can anyone give me any info on this gun? When made, how many, and about how much do they go for? It seems like a Guide Gun to me, but with an octogon barrel. Pretty sweet levergun, in my opinion....
Thanks,
Rob

Looks like a good set-up. Some more things you might want to think about--a small roll of duct tape or gaffer's tape, extra batteries for flashlight and radios (an extra bulb for the light might also be good), a first aid kit of some sort (make sure you can treat blisters), a bandana or two, and a h...

Dakota7, it is at The Gun Broker here in Clackamas, Oregon. I'm not sure about the configuration of the gun or the condition--only noticed that it was a 94AE. They also had three boxes of factory ammo in the store--must've come in with the gun. Their number is 503.657.7203 in case your friend is int...

It's quite obvious that government in the wrong hands can be a serious threat to freedom and liberty in the United States. Can anyone give me the lowdown on this cartridge? I saw a 94AE today chambered in 307 Win. and I was curious, because I didn't know anything about it. I have no interest in buying that particular gun at this time, just wanted to know more. Thanks.

Just the basics....I'd say his choice depends on whether he can live with the safety (there are plenty out there without the safety) and will he ever want to mount a scope (I know it's not for everybody...) But if he might want to scope it, then an angle eject is the way to go (94AE). In my experien...

I've shot both and enjoy both. The 4'' model is fun, though. A little snappier (by that I mean the muzzle jumps up a little more than on a 5'' government model) but not too much so. In the woods, I carry an old model Blackhawk .357 with 4-5/8'' barrel, worn in a crossdraw holster (although sometimes strongside). This has always been my favorite woods bumming gun--accurate and powerful enough for what we've got here in Oregon. It's loaded with standard 158 gr. soft points, usual...

Just wondering what others have on their Christmas list..... Me, I was hoping Santa would bring a Trapper for me this year (any caliber), but I strongly suspect I'm on the wrong list.
