Fred, that should make one heck of a hog whacking rig, I've thought of doing the same setup. I was always lead to believe it was fine to shoot 308 Win. in a 7.62X51 nato chambered rifle but not vise versa. Am I wrong about this.

Thanks very much for all the replies. I just returned home from visiting them at the hospital and all is a go to come home tomorrow. Baby and dad both have a good appetite, moms a little sore but is up and going, she's been a real trooper and I'm very proud of her.

Thanks Danny, I'm running pretty much the same load but with H4895. I haven't taken any game with the Hornady, I have with some 250's, but I've heard it's a tough bullet and that confirms it for me.

It's only 67F here this morning (10:00am) with a North wind blowing. Fills good. It's suppose to get down in the upper 50's tonight. I wish tomorrow wasn't Monday so I could go out and hunt pigs tonight.

Sorry to here about your Lab, Mine is getting old and having a hard time getting around. She lives for the cold weather and duck hunting, but this Texas heat is hard on her. She still gets excited when she see's be coming through the house with a long gun, but she doesn't beat me to the door anymore...

It was a lot of fun. several Levergunners from around here came over and the moving target was the closing act for us. We had guys with big bore revolvers, bolt actions, but mostly Leversguns. The target moves around more then it looks in the video and adds to the fun.
