Either 8 rounds of 9mm or 16 rounds of 9mm depending on what I'm toting. Always have one extra mag.

Re: Opinions on possible retirement to Ky or Tenn

I can't say about KY but have lived in TN a long time. TN has no state income tax and as long as you are east of the TN River it is hard to go wrong. West TN has more in common with MS culturally and topographically and is considered by many to be part of MS. Nashville is a boom town now and is in D...

I've been keeping an eye on rimfire ammo. It is starting to sit longer and longer and the price is inching down. Hopefully the bubble is bursting.

Rumor is if the gun has short wood in front of the barrel band it will be factory drilled.

Re: Ruger LCP Range Report…

The LCP can surprise you. I shot one in a back up gun match and was very surprised how well you could hit with it out to 7 yards. Even with the tiny sights if you handle it like a full size gun it is shootable. I would feel pretty queasy if it was all I had when something bad happened, but it is mor...

Re: Carry of a j-frame for ccw

The Bianchi Model 6 is an old school IWB holster with a metal clip to hold it in your belt. I have one from many years ago. I used to put the clip under my belt and tuck my shirt in over the gun. You have to pooch out your shirt just a little over the gun but it's no problem.

Re: Carry of a j-frame for ccw

I carry a J frame every day in a Kramer pocket holster. It is no problem. Pocket carry is very pocket dependent. Most jeans I have had make pocket carry impossible. If I was going to carry a J frame on my belt I would get a pancake type holster. Something like a Lobo enhanced pancake. Paddle holster...

Re: Are we witnessing a changing of the guard on levers?

Look for Browning replicas, pre 64 Winchester 1894's, pre button safety 1894 BigBores and pre Remington Marlins. Even if your paying what seems high for a used one as opposed to a currently manufactored one, you will be MUCH HAPPIER in the long run. Trust me on this one. I am with you there ...

Are we witnessing a changing of the guard on levers?

In my area there have always been a lot of lever guns floating around. The Marlin 336 has always been a staple gun. That created a situation where pawn shops had many Marlins and some Winchesters. Used Marlins were always popping up and there were many Marlins at every gunshow. Over the last two or ...

Thats a nice peice It's kind of rough but on the other hand it's not that bad. It seems well used but taken care of. The lifter lifts and the hammer will stay back.
