I sent a trapper in 30-30 to jess to bore to 38-55 it is one of my go to guns his boreing is a 375 bore an shoots like a house a fire don't have any trouble casting for it. over size bullets will not fit the chamber. I have 3 38-55 rifles an 2 375 win. I like the rebored one best

well I forgot to tell you I will never again use fleese in a scabbert again I have used split pig skin in all of what I have now easy on the gun an will not stay WET.

Most times when I kill a deer I have it in the freg in as short a time as possable I don't like Rotten meat an deer will start to rot in minutes my deer are aged on the hoof 2-3 yo

There is something wrong with that gun so I would recomend you send it too ME I will work on it for a few years an then send it back OK

I load lots of cast in everything I shoot an the old 30-30 is the best an yes you have too bell the case or it will cut lead from the bullet a very small bell will work BEST!!!

Well my 2 cents worth is not worth much BUT if you can hit a deer in the right place don't worry about the bullet any cast bullet from a 45 colt will kill deer right now right there. Voice of experance? maby. I have killed lots of them with a 357 an cast .

I have one of the little sharps in 38-55 it is a wonderful gun to shoot. And not hard on the eyes eather. not neer as expensive as a full size sharps.200 yds is about as far as I've shoot itI can hit a 2liter pop boddle with it once in awhile.

H110 is not a powder I would use for cast Bullets. and as for your 2nd Q NO use the load for lead bullets cast will shot faster than jacket bullets. H110 is a powder that you have too stay with the load in the book don't try to use it in Reduced loads. the best powder that I have found it 2400.

You are going to love that little sharps I got one a while back 38-55 The more you shoot it the better it will shoot. I shoot lots of black in mine. and have had no problems of any kind.

I did the same thing with some 44 mag loads a long time ago don't remember the load they shot just fine and I'm still here. I was told that the only difference was that the rilfe primer was made to withstand higher presser ( can't spell)
