Any idea what a Speer 150 gr. Hot Core .30-30 bullet would do on varmit size animals when pushed to a muzzle velocity between 2700 and 2800 fps? Federal makes a load with the 180 gr Nosler Trophy Bonded that's rated at 2880 fps.

Recipes currently on Alliant and Hodgdon's websites don't come anywhere near 2900 fps with a 180 gr bullet, and I know I wouldn't try to push either of my .30-06s that hard.
