I have a stainless with a laminate stock. I put a kickease pad on it and if I shoot it I get so it is not a problem. If I put it away for a year when I first shoot it, it seems a little rough but doable. I like it and hope to go for elk and a moose before the body totally gives out.

Nice deer, but that 30-30 is no 38WCF! We will have to wait until next year now! I am guilty of the same offense.
My old friend says if you tap the Cor-lokts tips against the receiver and flatten them a little, they really let the deer down. Looks like it wasn't needed!

Its still working out well for me. So well in fact that put one on my Dads 94 BB top eject 375. So far so good!

I would want a Soft Point if you had hit a shoulder knuckle you may not of fared so well. If all you will shoot is a broadside target it will work ok if no major bones are struck. Like the bow.

Lyman used to use a formula where if your rifle six inches low at say 50 yards with the sight set in the lowest setting.
