The little Marlin seems to get along well with my pet 357 load. 180 gr cast with 15.0 gr of LilGun, 1780 fps. Just over an inch at 50 yards with the factory sights. I'll take a little different angle at it. If you forgot you even had them, they are obviously not used, and really aren't items of a collector either. I've always wanted a small caliber front stuffer like that, but I never understood why the production guns in the smaller calibers are so much more expensive than the 50 and 54 caliber guns.

When I lived up by the Speer factory in Lewiston, ID, I used to get all kinds of blems in several calibers. I could never see anything wrong with them at all. I wouldn't be afraid to try these if I were you.

That's me too, 95% of the time. I like to have other options too though. At least the 200 gr. Sierra has been available, and I stocked up on a few of those. I really like that bullet in my Contender.
