It's a toss up between my Guide Gun and my Marlin 30TK 30-30 Ackley Improved. The 30TK is a mini version of the Guide Gun, 18.5" barrel, half mag, straight stock.

I tried some years ago before I started casting my own. I was not impressed with them and spent a long time removing lead from my bore. They definitely need more lube on them to shoot clean.

180 gr. cast with wheelweights, propelled by 16.0 gr. LilGun. Only killed one deer with this combo so far, but he piled up where he was standing.

First thing I would do is take off those ridiculous see-through mounts and install a set of regular low weaver mounts. The closer the scope is to the bore the better off you'll be, for a number of reasons. If it still won't adjust to your liking, swap scopes around.

It was not designed as a lubricant. Most of it evaporates in a day or two, leaving your metal dry. There are a lot of better choices for firearms.

I had a smith tell me that my 1100 LT-20 barrel was too thin to install tubes. I don't know if it actually was or not, but I bought a Remchoke barrel from Cabelas instead of chancing it.

Nuthin wrong with branching out a little. Can't imagine you'd be disappointed with a 92. I've got Marlin, Winchester and Rossi levers and I like them all.
