When I restocke my rossi, I got a little carried away and now have some gaps, other ahh s**t that needs to be tightened up. My quetion is, I have have heard the JB weld can be used instead of ordering glass bedding stuff. Is this true and has anyone used and what were the results.

Does any one know if a marlin stock will fit the rossi Rio Grand 45-70. I am saving my money for one and if the stock is as fugly as the one on my mod 92, I will be replacing it. If the marlin fits, I hav eseveral alternatives.

Yep, after we talked I did just that, and it was still loose, so I whickered off a small piece of coke can put in. even had to lightly tap top of sight to "persuade" it to go in. now is just nice and tight. Will be going to range next week to try ilt out.

Good Morning,
I am building a tactical lever gun out of a rossi mod 92 in 44 mag. I can find just about all parts except a picitinny rail that will fit the dovetail on the Rossi. The scope is going to be one of the holographic sights so I dont need a big rail.
Any help will appreciated.

My 16"rossi is a 44 mag, which I usually have loaded with mouse phart loads, and in the bag a box of 320 gr bear loads. I cast 200 gr and 240 and 250 and the afore mentioned 320. gun is light, handy, and shoots straight enough for close quarters defense against two or four legged predators.

Probably the wrong title, but My 30-30 is not handling the cast bullets the way I like. soooooo I want to swage the bore, ya know drive a lead slug down the bore so that I can measure what the real bore diameter reallly is.

mine is in 44 mag. I did get new wood for it, mine shoots from 200 gr to 320 cast without a hiccup. mine does have by the way the bolt safety. fine little rifle that is going to get the "tactical levergun" treatment.

while my lever guns will never be 1 mile sniper rifles, if a dedicated target shooter took a modern lever gun, Marlin, Winchester, what ever and removed the mag tube and went single shot. does anyone have any idea of the actual accuracy possible with a lever gun.

what would be nice would be for a qualified mechanic (artist) to make a lever that is 1/2"deeper and 1" longer. probably sell a bunch of them. Or maybe just an add on that a local gunsmith could cut and insert on existing levers.

From a old, fat dinosaur, there are some rifles that just dont look right with a scope. M-1 carbine, Sharps, and at the top of that list is a mod 94. Marlins are ok with glass. but not a 94.

I restocked my Rossi, and the forend for a win mod 92 is a direct fit. check with the various parts places, Numrich arms for instance.
Also, I have one but it is for a 44 mag and too large for your 357.
