I'm thinking about sending my blued Marlin 50AK to Robar for their nickel NP3 coating. Anybody know if the coating will fill in lazer engraving? I will call them later when they are open but if you know chime in Oh if you had the coating done how is it holding up?

Is it possible to cut down the barrel to make a .22 guide gun? I know you would have to modify the mag tube so I guess that would add to the difficulty. Do you know anyone that does the work? Thanks

Smallest calibre for big game using cast
I have always used hardcast bullets for my leverguns and revolvers to hunt with. All are . 429 or larger up to 50AK. Well I have a Ruger Bisley that started as a 357mag, but was converted to 356GNR. Same caibre, .357, but with a lot more zip! Man those 158 gr bullets are small , and with no e...

I have the 356GNR in a Ruger revolver and dare I say the cartridge is magic :D Lots of bullets to chose from the 125gr to 180's. Easy to make the brass just size the 41 mag in the sizer die and your done ,no trimming either! The 429GNR is just as easy and plenty of bullet choices there too. The dies...

Just to let the members know that Reeder custom guns will rechamber the Marlin 1894 in a couple of great cartridges. First the 356 GNR which is a 41 mag necked down to 357. Works great in the Marlin and also in revolvers where the B&D had a problem with bullets backing out during recoil. Now if ...
