You can match the velocity you are getting from your handgun with a lesser load in the Marlin. You probably don't want to have two loadings to have to keep separate, so I would work up the most accurate load for the rifle and just use that in the handgun.

That is probably wher your air is coming from. That could be the entire problem.

I like both but my collecTion has about 5 stainless for every blued one. I guess that says something.
Sometimes when I come home from a shoot I just don't feel like cleaning my guns right away and they will lay dirty for some time. Stainless is good for that.

At this point , my guess is that your pump is sucking air and airiating the oil. That could be due to excess wear in the pump,too thick oil,Clogged up filter,hole in the inlet hose ???
