Re: School me please..
Bullet pinch refers to the need for a small amount of clearance between the loaded rounds neck and the neck area inside the chamber. A little clearance is required to allow the case neck to expand and release the bullet when fired. If the loaded round allows no room for the case to expand pressures ...

There are clock movements that use that system. Rather than the rubber band drive they use a weight to drive the arm.

Re: Never been a huge 94 man
Chuck, any favorite lubes for 94s? Just noticed you are in Ridgefield. We looked at homes there three years ago. That is a really nice area. It seemed to us, though, that Washington state doesn't seem to care much about land-use planning. We were so used to it in Oregon. Hi friend. I mostly use Rem...

When I was in high school (60's) I bought a Sweed Mauser ( 95%+ condition) at the local hardware store for $19.95 and the
Ammo was IIRC about $2.00 a box. Soft points about $6 for 20.
Winchester 94 at Kmart was on sale for $69.95.

Re: Lee Liquid Alox
LLA works well with conventional grooved cast bullets but I don't like the mess of having it all over the nose of the bullet where it does no good at all. I sometimes just dip the bases ( up to the top lube groove) in thinned LLA and stand them on their bases on waxed paper to dry, two coats are nee...

Re: Strength of Marlin 1894 in 45 Colt?
You can match the velocity you are getting from your handgun with a lesser load in the Marlin. You probably don't want to have two loadings to have to keep separate, so I would work up the most accurate load for the rifle and just use that in the handgun.

Re: Lubrisizers: Saeco vs RCB/Lyman
The Saeco is a great lubricator/sizer. I have both the Saeco and RCBS. I use the Saeco for rifle and the RCBS for pistol. I believe the Saeco produces a more accurate bullet. That said, I haven't used either in a couple years. I have been playing with powder coating and push through dies. Some made ...

I like both but my collecTion has about 5 stainless for every blued one. I guess that says something.
Sometimes when I come home from a shoot I just don't feel like cleaning my guns right away and they will lay dirty for some time. Stainless is good for that.

Control valves rarely fail but the relief valve ,normally located in the control valve body, can.
