Re: input on Ruger #1 B

Ya, with ya on second shot too except for one thing. I hunt with my buddy of 30 years and I figure I will make that one shot count and shoot him in the butt or leg so I can slow him down enough for the bear to catch.! Was going to use the marlin 336 in 35 Rem for the close in huntin and use the #1 i...

My other toy is a Tikka 270 stainless that I am selling on gun broker. Shoots groups so small it looks like 1 hole but my faith in 270 is not great for elk and griz

Re: clean barrel + cast bullets

Never "clean" ANY of my guns. Some guys I shoot with have a fit but have never had a rust problem
Only when hunting Montana in cold rain snow do I "clean" a gun after the season, during it I just run brakfree over all metal.

Anyone ever play with reduced loads in 35 or even a 44 mag?

Re: Anyone with experience with Red Wolves?

I lived in northwest Montana 81-86. Wolves were just "found" there by Glacier then. Now the bast*&% s are all over the northern states. In some places in Montana and other affected [infected] areas, the elk herds are plummeting in numbers. Take a couple minutes and send an email to tel...

Question about Ruger Old Army

bought an Old Army at Cabelas. They had one marked 699.00 and another marked 399.00 Both new in box
I grabbed the 400 buck one but wonder what I have.
It's blued 7.5 inch barrel with gold inlays on the cylinder in the form of Army emblem . The grips also marked US
What did I put on lay a way ?
