Case length 2.235,still make bright marks on the ends of brass,when loading a sized case.

Browning M71 short throat questions
Apparently the M71 has a short throat or chamber, fired cases show markings on end of brass. Anyone else experienced this? Does it cause any problems? Cases trimmed a little short seem to work fine. Thanks Randall

Great photo/story! I plan on using my 1936 M71 deluxe, this hunting season in Mt. Finally replaced the 1 sold 12yrs ago. This is my favorite levergun,with 99 savage 2nd.

Finally,after selling #77xx(1936) standard model to a friend in 2000,tried for years to buy/trade it back,no luck. Traded a recently acquired 1895 405 made 1903, for a mint deluxe m71 #29xx,bolt peep,sling & original box of shells(none missing).Was fired a 2nd box only. Didnt want to shoot the 4...
