You need THE Winchester: a pre-war 94 saddle-ring carbine. If it were in .38-55, that'd be the cherry on top!

Dad always said the Pyrenees Mountains were the reason the Indians mounted on the right. They learned their initial horsemanship from the Spaniards.

(The Pyrenees separate Spain from the rest of Europe and allowed them to develope several independant habits).

I think the 38-55 will punch a big enough hole and make it deeper (greater sectional density).

I have to admit I have no experience with that bullet, but it would hold true for the 275 gr cast bullet I use.

If it were mine I'd have Jess rebore/rechamber it to a .375" .38-55 Winchester.
I Jes do mine several years ago. I made no changes in the cartridge guides or anything else.

NO problems.

Jes does a great job and I definately recommend using his services.

The .41 mag is kinda' like the 32 Winchester Special.

The first handgun I bought myself was a 4 5/8" Blackhawk in 41. I still have it, still love it.

Haven't shot it much since my brother gave me a Uberti 4 3/4" SAA in 45 Colt, though.
