You need THE Winchester: a pre-war 94 saddle-ring carbine. If it were in .38-55, that'd be the cherry on top!

Dad always said the Pyrenees Mountains were the reason the Indians mounted on the right. They learned their initial horsemanship from the Spaniards.

A Good Time In a Hunter Ed Class

I think the 38-55 will punch a big enough hole and make it deeper (greater sectional density).
I have to admit I have no experience with that bullet, but it would hold true for the 275 gr cast bullet I use.

I Jes do mine several years ago. I made no changes in the cartridge guides or anything else.If it were mine I'd have Jess rebore/rechamber it to a .375" .38-55 Winchester.
NO problems.
Jes does a great job and I definately recommend using his services.

The .41 mag is kinda' like the 32 Winchester Special.
The first handgun I bought myself was a 4 5/8" Blackhawk in 41. I still have it, still love it.
Haven't shot it much since my brother gave me a Uberti 4 3/4" SAA in 45 Colt, though.
