I just purchased a brand new in the box BH 30 carbine for $396. I just gotta get use to the 7.5 inch barrel instead of the 5.5 that my 45 has.

I did not notice mine being that loud. I think my Springfield XD 45 is way louder.

The stock has been fitted with a butt pad and the front sight hood is missing. For that kinda of money it would have to be brand new pristine in the box and signed by Douglas Murray

I love my pump. Glad I got it. I am happy with my Thunderbolt too.

I'm guessing quality issues and production costs are the reasons. First the Gauchos, now the 22 rifles, I bet the Thunderbolts are gone to.

Call them up. I bought an 1895 guide gun and the stock had a micro crack on the tang. I gave Marlin a call and they sent me a new stock no charge.

Good point, perhaps the aperture could be blued with the rest stainless.

I know with everything blued it really stand out on a stainless tang.

I have noticed that many of the Vernier sights have a blued aperture but the scales are in the white.

Does anyone know if any one makes stainless tang sights?

I have several rifles that are stainless including Marlin 1895, EMF 92, Taurus Thunderbolt, and a Taurus 62.

My Taurus 62 has the Taurus tang sight on it but it was offered in blue only.

Yep, probably do to that 11lb spring. Replace it if you have not already. Also the heaver spring keeps the smutz from blowing all in your face.

Marlin Customer support is one of the best. I got a new guide gun and it came with a micro crack in the stock. Marlin replaced it N/C.
