I absolutely LOVE my '36 Winchester 71 A thing of beauty, a true work of art.
I like jacketed 250's and 58grs of AA3100.

I shot a buck a few weeks ago with a Marlin Levergun in .44 mag. But I used a .44 special case, 7 1/2grs of Unique and a 255gr SWC. I fed them into my gun from my gunbelt as I walked out the back door and into the woods. Same load as I use in my Ruger 44 specials. 1 shot, dead in his tracks. :D 2x22

I've shot quite a few deer and a couple elk with this bullet, also lots of grouse and coyotes. Can't say enough good about it. A REALLY good killer and usually stayed under 1 1/2" at 100 yards.

I love my Lipsey Specials! 7 1/2grs of Unique and any of the 245 to 260gr SWC's will kill deer every time. My CPAP has a 12V DC plug. I've used it in a road tractor before with a cigarette lighter plug. I also went to radio shack and bought an adapter that has two clamps for clamping onto a 12V auto battery, the other end is a cigarette lighter plug. I use this at home for when my power fails. Another vote toward the 311041 for an overall shooting, whether hunting or plinking. If you don't want to use a GC, use a PB instead. Don't try to shoot a GC model without a gascheck.
