Numrich Arms has their parts lists for most all the M. 94 variations on their website. Just cross reference the parts you need from those lists by model number.

While the crescent style might be easier to lever and reload without taking it from the shoulder, it's not nearly as comfortable to shoot as the carbine or shotgun style buttplate. Both the latter spreads the recoil over a wider area of the shoulder, and as heavier calibers with greatly increased re...

I understand that the McClellen (sp) saddles were very uncomfortable. Anyone here with first hand knowledge? My timeline guess would be just a little earlier, say 1880's. I'd say the pistol butt belongs to a Colt SAA. Most likely a poor country boy getting away from the farm. Ain't no fat on that bo...

Years ago the rule of thumb was around 1500-1600 fps for non-gas check bullets. It seems nowdays around here 1700 seems to be where to start keeping an eye on leading.

I was almost 7 when Pearl Harbor was attacked. I remember my dad and the neighbors talking about what this attack meant. Definitely not an American sword. All U.S. swords had finger/hand guards, this one does not have one. Scabbard does appear to be more European than Oriental though.

Over a long period of time you might do some damage to the 45/90 chamber in front of the 45/70 case. But that would be an awful lot of shooting, so I wouldn't worry about that much. Just as long as you don't let any fouling accumulate foward of the 45/70 case that could stick a 45/90 case later.

A very simple tool is two pieces of 1/8" square stock about 3-4" long. Set one in the rear barrel dovetail and the other in the slot you are cutting. Simply sight between the two to parallel each other as you cut. No need to be perfectly level in your vise.

Thanks, El Chivo, that looks pretty simple to me. You need both to break the law. But the way most bureaucrats can screw up anything, so I'd still be very careful about the inventory in my rig when I hit a Condor restricted area.
