I recently pucked up a converted Uberti Dragoon with the Kirst conversion cylinder.

Further discussion with the current owner gave me more details as to the problem exactly. Bob Hatfield has explained the issue exactly as the owner did....and it looks like it dates to the mid 40's.

I have an opportunity to purchase a 94 at a very attractive price, the current owner claims that cartridges get "kicked out of the magazine" on a regularly. What might be the issue and is it an easy fix for someone with basic gunsmithing ability?

It is also fascinating that perhaps Thom. Jefferson was unaware of the fur trade history of canoe travel on the rivers, seeing that he sent Louis and Clarke out with a flat boat. While I own a Kindle, I feel the difference between a book and a Kindle is similar to my thoughts on the1911 vs. Glocks. Both do the job, but one is a soul less device and the other is a piece of art!

I still use a long handled hoe for a walking staff. I glue a threaded insert into the handle end and install a Hilti fastener for steel to give it a grip on rock. Then I sharpen the blade and cover it for safety. I've only had to use it once but it turned that snake into bite size pieces real quick...

I have a quantity of 5.56 marked LC 92 with a cross within a circle it is painted greenish yellow. it has been iside an ammo can since I picked it up many years ago.
I have some green tip and I do not believe that is what it is...I fired off a round tonight and it is nor tracer/
