I don't know what Paco's method is..but temperature marker sticks are available and may be of use to you... these are made to change color at a specific temp.. mark your bullets.. heat them with your torch until the mark changes color...I think Brownells sell them.. Some welding supply stores have t...

I ringed the barrel of my dads Springfield 22 back when I was a kid using Federal 22s..They were the cut rate cheap brand back then..It stayed just as accurate as it always was..but I did quit using Federals for a long time..I've seen ringed barrels that one couldn't detect the ring with a tight pat...

Get the Lyman bullet casting book..You wouldn't go wrong with a Lyman 20 pound capacity melting pot bottom pour...The Lee 20# bottom pour is good too..The smaller cap melting pots have to be replenished more often.. then you have to wait for the melt to come up to proper casting temp.. your mold wil...

Having just torn into my 99 1960 vintage Carbine I didn't see much that looked to be hand fitted..The mag rotor looked like it was die cast aluminum with a few machine marks.. The sear was a stamping..so was the carrier spindle support..The trigger is hung with a pin and meshes with the sear via a y...

You can also thin the blade a tad if you don't have to move POI much..Thin the side of the blade on the side that it sh...
