From a distance watching mini guns fire at night was always interesting..don't know how many bullets were going into the ground, but there were enough bouncing back up to make it look like water splashing at the end of a hose..

Funny thing to me..I don't recall even once ever hearing anybody around here gripe or criticize the Savage 99 LeverGuns for having safeties..I have heard of preferences for one type or the other though..Mebbe it's cuz they don't look like a rifle from the old west type era?

It may happen more now than it used to but defects have always slipped out on factory produced guns.. Just dicovered some on a Savage 99E that was made in 1960.. I'll post about it in another thread.... Like the guys have said..Send it back PS Sometimes I wonder if we the customer now take the place...

Progress Joke

Indian Chief, "Two Eagles," was asked by a government official, "You have observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his wars and his technological advances. You've seen his progress, and the damage he's done." The Chief nodded in agreement. The official continued, "Co...

Exploded View - Savage 99 A Queston

I notice in comparing exploded views between the Savage 99 A and other 99s that both have what appears to be identical lower tangs...Is then the only major difference between the two the configuration of the levers and stocks? The only exploded views I've found so far however, are the ones of the ta...

I've got a 3rd Mod 1873 SRC 44WCF w/Lyman folding peep.. That configuration is perfection IMO... 44 cal tube makes it light as it can be..I like the idea of a bigger diameter/heavier bullet over the 38-40... But it's more of an idea, rather than anything that really much matters...
