I haven't seen "The Revenant" yet but of all the movies of his since he got some age on him by far "Blood Diamond" really shows off his skills playing a cynical former Merc turned diamond smuggler... Good story & Jennifer Connely is easy on the eyes too..

Very old tech... 4.5" long 7shot .25 acp.. But it has its virtues... Less than an inch thick... Grip safety...Internal hammer ... even has a magazine safety . There's a couple on GB now..

The pistol is a 60 caliber smooth bore French Gendarmerie police pistol: 5 inch barrel dated 1801 Things went well for all three shots I fired.... I under loaded it using FFg instead of the recommended FFFg and with the charge ...

I modified my Armsport SS 1858 Remington New Army with a Rogers & Spencer type cylinder bushing ( The idea Colt borrowed for the SAA :wink: ) .. It made it an all day shooter.. He mentioned the cylinder bushing in his article...It works like a charm...No dragging and the axel pin comes loose eas...

I too would have liked to have heard/seen that formation of Spits & Hurricane... A symphony of heavy metal :D The only P47s I ever heard of had radial engine... The boys that did ground support loved how that big ole radial provided them so much cover from incoming ... Same for the guys that fle...

An old time remedy to squeeze a little more use out of a well worn file was to give them a soak in water diluted muriatic acid... It etches the teeth to a sharper edge... Hope all goes well with whatever way you go..

Same here Griff.. Down around Moro Bay same time frame When we hooked a decent one you weren't sure if you were trying to pull up the bottom until he turned loose of it!

Edit: Sand Dabs were easier to pull up and maybe better eating too.
