It's on his message board, topic titled "Attention!! New Marlin Conversion"

Is the Marlin too narrow to handle the 348 wcf case? Too short?

Interesting choice and maybe it will help preserve, if not boost 348 bullet selection. I can't help wonder why he didn't go with .358 instead.

Cow elk = Winchester 71
Buck = Winchester 1895 303
Backup/Rain = Remington 721 264 win mag
Misc other fury rascals = Hepburn 38-55, Winchester 1886 40-65, and Marlin 39A
Side arms = Ruger BH 45 Colt and Browning Buckmark

That should just about cover it, I think.

I looked at a used Browning recently that had very nice trigger job down to about 3 pounds and crisp, so apparently it can be done. The action was smoothed up a bit too. Very nice. I have one night to load up 100 rounds of 45 colt for my 4-3/4 BH for a hunting trip next week. 95fan gave me 100 230gr LRNs to use, and I only have three powders to chose from: 2400, 5744 and 4759. Actually I was thinking of a vintage 20's or 30's era varmint scope, about 18 to 20 inches, maybe a 3/4" tube, 6x or so, scope blocks mounted on the barrel.....

I think a scout scope may clash with the theme you have going.
