Re: OT-I let myself get pushed around a lot

I'm very much the kind of person who hates to make waves and upset people, and I especially hate feeling like I've wasted someone's time. This house we're considering buying is turning into a nightmare. I had the inspection done and it turned out to be a 37 page report of both major and minor probl...

Another good choice is Winchester 231. I find it to measure better better than Unique, especially in small charges/cases, and has applicability in each of the cartridges listed.

BTW, I love Unique too, wouldn't be without it on the bench.

I have a good supply of .223, .308, 9mm and .45 ACP for "just in case". Everything else is for fun or sporting use. As I get older, I'm realizing that I'm probably just as well off with a good Smith & Wesson revolver and a .357 or .44 Mag levergun. Hey Warhawk, even though that was a ...

It's just as likely that she is the mentally unstable one; without evidence of abuse by her husband she could just as well be exhibiting extreme paranoia. Additionally, stealing other's property is a crime. The particular case in the first post should have at least generated an investigation, and gi...

Ya know, it's funny how something that does what it was designed for, is affordable and available, can be so looked down upon. I bet if Ruger decided to discontinue the 10/22, that it would begin being refered to in reverent tones and someone would produce a book detailing all the different varients...

Speaking of 125gr. 357 mag loads - I've been looking into loading some, myself. In my available loading guides, using 2400 as the selected powder, there's quite a variation in load data. One load that stands out, however: Bullet: 125gr. JSP Primer: Fed. 200 Powder: No. 2400 Max charge: 17.6 grs. Vel...

When out in the boonies, I carry my Ruger BH .45 Colt. I've not had to use it yet, but it should get the job done with anything short of a big foot. Joe I bet 'ol Bigfoot would be hangin' on the wall if you had to use it agin' him... My favorite would be a 4-5/8" Ruger BH in 45 colt - if I had...

The last '92 in 25-20 I saw was a 24" barrel, rough outside, little bluing, lot's of 'character' in the wood, no finish left on the wood, bore was like the inside of a sewer pipe. Action was smooth, though.

Asking price, $995, and it's still there after 2 years.

Only one cartridge? What, are you crazy?

Only one??? Man, that'd make me insane trying to decide... But, here's a go at it. If the choice were for a long gun, I would choose 30/06, for as Townsend Whelen said, a 30/06 is seldom a bad choice. ( or words to that effect.) If the choice were for a handgun, then it would be the 357 mag, but dan...
